Summary:
K-Plus Engineering performed civil engineering services in the Village of Hillside
to address flooding concerns along segments of Roosevelt Rd, one of their main roadways.
The Village requested an investigation of the drainage areas along the road between
Harrison St and Mannheim Rd, the west and east village limits respectively. Roosevelt
Rd is located approximately three-quarters south of the Eisenhower Expressway (1-290)
and has direct southbound access to the Tri State Tollway (1-294).
K-Plus Engineering was responsible of obtaining and reviewing copies of the Illinois
Department of Transportation (IDOT) archives regarding areas of the tollway and
any adjacent properties directly or indirectly impacting drainage along Roosevelt
Rd. After the related documents were carefully examined, a report of findings was
prepared and succeeding steps were recommended for the Village to follow.
